Moving Documents Between Packages

You can move drawing or submittal documents between packages that have not yet started their review process. For example, you decide to split off three drawings from Package A to Package B.

ClosedTo move documents to another package

  1. Open the appropriate register for the type of package that contains the documents to move.
  2. Open the package containing the documents to move.

    3. The Main page of the package appears.

  3. Select the Drawings or Submittals page.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select the rows you wish to move.

    6. Click in the area to the left of the Title column to select the row. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking to select multiple rows.

  6. Click Transfer and select Move to New Package.

    Click Transfer and select Move to Existing Package.

  7. Complete the information on the Main page of the new package.

    8. — or —

    Select the package that you are moving the documents to. You can select only one package, since a document can belong to only one package at a time.

  8. Click OK to close the dialog box, if moving to an existing package.

    9. Proliance moves the document to the other package and closes the dialog box.

Note:

  • You can split a package only when the package being split is in the Draft or Submitted states.
  • Drawing and submittal documents retain their workflow states when moved to another package.
