Adding Taxes to a Tax Rule
To add taxes to a tax rule, your security role must
have permission to update tax rules. For more information, see "About Security
Permissions".
To
add taxes to a tax rule
- Open the
register.
- Select the tax
rule to which you wish to add taxes.
- Click Edit.
- Next to Tax Rule Taxes, click Add Line.
- Under Tax
Code, select the tax to be used for the tax rule.
- Under Tax
Rate, change the default tax rate, if necessary. Note that the
modified tax rate only applies to this tax rule.
- Under Applies
To, select whether the tax applies to either the base amount only
or to the base amount and the taxes that are listed earlier in the Tax List sequence.
- Repeat steps
3 - 6 for additional taxes.
- Click Save.
