Creating a Custom Print Layout

You need to create a custom print layout document for each externally-created layout file you wish to upload into Proliance. These layout files will be used when printing a custom report.

You can create customized print layouts that are available to your standalone workspace, the workspaces in your portfolio, the portfolio itself, or to your organization. Your security role must have permission to create custom print layout documents. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

To create a custom print layout

  1. Open the Custom Print Layouts register.
  2. Click New.
  3. A blank custom print layout appears.

  4. Type a title for the layout.
  5. Select the item to be associated with this layout.
  6. Proliance displays all available documents/registers in the current work area. An item may have several different custom print layouts linked to it, but each custom print layout can link to only one item.

  7. Attach a layout file, if available.
  8. A custom print layout needs to have a layout file before you can use it to print a report. For more information, see "Attaching a Print Layout File".

  9. Click Save.

Note:

  • Custom report layouts designed for printing register reports cannot contain calculated fields.
  • Make sure every custom print layout contains a layout file before it is used to print a report.
