Managing Languages in a Portfolio

If you have the appropriate permissions, you can add or remove languages supported within a work area. In order for the language to be visible in the Proliance Web user interface, the supported languages must have corresponding nomenclature defined in the nomenclature spreadsheet.

When working within an work area, you can choose from all the languages made available in the parent work area. For example, when setting supported languages within a Portfolio, you can choose from all the languages supported in the parent Organization. When setting supported languages within a workspace, you can choose from the languages supported by the parent Portfolio.

You can define a default language for a work area that displays if none of the user's preferred languages are available.

To add a language to a Portfolio

  1. In a Portfolio, click AdministrationPortfolio Properties .
  2. In the Portfolio Properties register, display a Portfolio Properties document.
  3. Click the Language page.
  4. On the Languages dialog, click Edit and then click Add Line.
  5. In the Languages selection dialog, select one or more languages in the left pane and move them to the bottom pane by clicking the Add link beside an language.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save.

To set the default language for a Portfolio

  1. In a Portfolio, click AdministrationPortfolio Properties .
  2. In the Portfolio Properties register, display a Portfolio Properties document.
  3. Click the Language page.
  4. On the Languages dialog, click Edit.
  5. In the Default column. select a language as the default language.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save.
