Proliance does the following when reversing a finalization:
- When reversing
the finalization, the finalized value will be restored to the original
column prior to finalization and the Finalized value will be set to zero.
- Note: If
the system detects a mismatch between the original stored Applied from
Type value and the current value, the calculation rule will be changed
from Auto to Manual. This can happen if values or the calculation rule
are changed after finalization.
Some examples will illustrate how the calculation
rule works when reversing a finalization.
A typical example of
reversing a manual calculation
Step 1 - The following values are entered
in a line item.
Estimate 1 - 50
Estimate 2 - 40
Quote - 25
Adjusted Amt - 0
Step 2 - Manual is selected and the Adjusted
Amt is selected as the Applied Value.
Step 3 - The line is finalized, Finalized
value - 0.
Step 4 - After finalization, the Adjusted
Amt is changed, Adjusted Amt - 10.
Step 5 - The
finalization is reversed. The
system sets the calculation rule to Manual and sets the Adjusted Amt to
0, because that was the value prior to finalization.
An
example of the system setting Auto to Manual when reversing a Finalization
Step 1 - The calculation Rule is set to
Auto
Quote - 30, auto rule uses this value as
the Applied Value
Step 2 - The line is finalized, Finalized
value - 30.
Step 3 - After finalization, the Quote
is changed, Quote - 40.
Step 4 - The finalization is reversed.
The system
detects a difference between the pre-finalization quote value (30) and
the value determined by the auto calculation rule (40).
The
system changes the calculation rule to Manual
and sets the quote back to 30, because
that was the value prior to finalization.
