About Activity Code Groups

Activity codes are used to organize tasks in a schedule. Before an activity code can be used in a schedule, it must be part of an activity code group and this group must be linked to the schedule. Once an activity code is used in a planning object, you can filter and group planning objects based around these codes.

• Open the Activity Code Group register

Before you can use Activity Code Groups, you must define each activity code as a hierarchical lookup in your workspace. For more information, see "About Activity Codes".

An Activity Code Group's information is grouped under the following pages:

• Main: Contains settings for the activity codes used in the activity code group. For more information, see "Activity Code Group – Main".
• Properties: Contains the attributes of the document, such as the author of the document, and the date in which the document was created. For more information, see "Document Properties".

Additional Activity Code Group information is available on the following tabs:

• Project: Lists the projects the document is linked to. For more information, see "About the Projects Tab"

• Workflow: Enables you to see where the document is in its lifecycle, who has already performed actions on the document, and who will receive notification when the document changes to a specific state. For more information, see "Workflow Tab".
• Activity Log: Records all the activities of the activity code group, such as when it was saved, imported, exported, forwarded, or received. For more information, see "Activity Log Tab".
• Attachments: Contains a list of all the documents related to this activity code group. For more information, see "Attachments Tab".
