Limitations on Editing the Schedule of Values

Your ability to edit the line items on the Schedule of Values page of a pre-commit contract depends on factors that include the state of the contract.

Note: Auto-commit contracts do not have a Schedule of Values page.

• You can only edit Schedule of Values line items if you have the appropriate security permission.
• If the contract's Invoicing Allowed setting is selected, and its state is Draft, Pending, Pending Acceptance, or Pending Approval, you cannot make a line item's Scheduled Amount less than the To Date Progress Total Amt on the most recent invoice.

For example, if the line item's Scheduled Amount is $100, and the To Date Progress Total Amt on the most recent invoice is $50, you can reduce the Scheduled Amt to $50, but no lower.

• If the state of the contract is Approved, you cannot delete line items that appear on an invoice unless you have the appropriate security permission.
• If the state of the contract is Approved, you can update the line items. However, you cannot make a line item's Scheduled Amount less than the To Date Progress Total Amt on the most recent invoice. Proliance warns you if any changes may affect existing invoices and change orders against the contract.
