Content Formatting Preferences

Use the Content Formatting tab to define your preferences for how dates, times and calendars are displayed in Proliance.

Format Locale

The Format Locale field allows you to choose the formatting for date, time, currency and number values displayed throughout Proliance. Format Locale is associated with regional languages, and determines:

  • Other elements of currency formatting, such as decimal places and currency symbol, are determined by the baseline currency set for a Workspace, or the currency set for a contract. For more information, see "Controlling Currency Formatting and Precision".

Preferred Calendar

Proliance allows you to choose the default calendar from a list of available calendars. This calendar will appear whenever you work with a date field in Proliance. In the Calendar field, select the calendar that is standard for your organization or a specialized calendar that is more appropriate for your working environment. For example, if you choose Arabic as your format locale, you can choose the Umm-Al-Qura calendar as your preferred calendar.

Date Entry

Use the Date Entry field to define the date format that you will use to type values in date fields. For example, if you are accustomed to entering a date with the month before the day (dd-MMM-yyyy), you can set that preference here.

Date Display

Use the Date Display field to define how dates are displayed throughout Proliance. After a date is entered in a date field, Proliance will display dates according to the format defined in the Date Display.

Time

Use this field to define how clock times are displayed in Proliance. This format also determines the expected format for time values when they are entered into Proliance.
