Editing a Company Role

Proliance automatically creates a company role for each company. By default, these roles have no permissions to any of the Proliance documents. All users belonging to the company will immediately inherit the new permissions, if they don't have them already through their security role. Note that you need access to the security permission settings in order to edit a company role.

To edit a company role

  1. Open the Company Roles register from the appropriate work area.
  2. Select the company role to open.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. The page enters the edit mode. You cannot edit the values in the General section. The Name is an internal identifier generated by Proliance. The Description is the company name. If you need to change the Description, you must change the name of the company.

  5. In the Permissions section, click the check box next to the appropriate permissions for each document type.
  6. Click Save.
  7. The changes will take effect immediately. If a user with this company role is currently logged on, the change will take effect the next time the user's screen is refreshed.
