Deleting a Security Role

If you have access to security, you can remove security roles that are no longer required.

You can delete a security role from either of the following places:

Note: Depending on your current location, deleting a security role may or may not remove it from other areas of Proliance.

To delete a security role

  1. Open the Roles register from the appropriate work area.
  2. For information on the contents of each Roles register and which one to use, see "About the Roles Register".

  3. Select the check box next to the role to delete and then click Delete.

    Open the role to delete and click Delete The delete button..

  5. Click Yes when Proliance prompts you to confirm.
  6. Proliance deletes the security role from the current area of Proliance. The role and all permissions associated with the role are removed from any accounts that used the role in the current area of Proliance. The deletion will take effect the next time a user logs on to Proliance. If the user is currently logged on, the deletion will take effect the next time the user's screen is refreshed.
