A Gantt is a project planning tool used to represent the timing of tasks required to complete work on a schedule. Proliance supports the following types of Gantts: Collaborative and CPM. For more information, see "About the Gantt".
Schedules in Proliance are displayed in Gantt charts and Gantt tables. Collectively, the Gantt chart and Gantt table are referred to as "Gantt". In the chart and table, each planning object is displayed as one row.
In the Gantt chart, dates can be displayed at the top in increments of days, weeks, or months. The allotted time for a task is displayed as a horizontal bar: the left side denotes the start date; the right side denotes the finish date. In the Gantt table, dates and time estimates are displayed in columns.
As you work, you can add work performed to the schedule. Work can be entered either in the Gantt chart or the Gantt table. To enable you to easily see the schedule progress, the Gantt chart graphically displays the work performed against the work needing to be completed. For exact dates and times, use the Gantt table or move your mouse over the bar in the Gantt chart.
