A revision of a form or standard form can have several states in Proliance. Each state indicates where the document is in its life cycle in Proliance. When you perform workflow actions on the document, the state of the document changes accordingly.
State | Description | |
---|---|---|
1 |
Draft |
A new revision is still in progress. It is not yet complete nor ready for activation. |
2 |
Submitted |
A new revision has been submitted for activation, but has not yet been accepted. |
3 |
In Review |
A revision is currently being reviewed, but has not been accepted or rejected. |
4 |
Accepted |
The responsible user has accepted the revision. This revision will be used for construction. Only Accepted standard forms can be linked to a standard plan. If an Accepted standard form is currently linked to a standard plan, you cannot manually change the standard form's state. Note: Only one revision in any given series can be in the Accepted state. If another revision in the series is accepted, Proliance automatically moves the previously accepted revision to the Canceled state and assigns it a canceled reason of 'Superceded.' If this occurs in the Organization work area, the newly accepted revision is carried to all workspaces to which the standard form has been exported and the old revision is similarly canceled. |
5 |
Rejected |
An accepted revision has been rejected. Once a revision is rejected, you cannot accept or cancel it, but you can create a new revision if you want to continue a particular form series. |
6 |
Canceled |
The revision has been canceled. Either someone manually canceled the revision, or Proliance canceled the revision because someone accepted another revision in the same series. Proliance may provide more information about the cancellation by its Canceled Reason: 'Obsolete' indicates that a user manually canceled a revision in the Accepted state. 'Superceded' indicates that Proliance canceled the accepted revision because a user has accepted another revision in the same series. If a standard form is canceled in the Organization work area, the corresponding standard form is canceled in any workspaces to which the standard form has been exported. Note: No cancellation reason is shown if the revision being canceled is not in the Accepted state. |
