Managing Supported Languages

If you have the appropriate permissions, you can specify the languages supported within each work area.

When working within an Org work area, you can choose from all the languages made available by the system. In the Portfolio work area, choice of languages is limited to the Org in which the Portfolio is a member. In a Workspace work area, the choice of languages to select is limited by the supported languages in the Portfolio in which the Workspace is a member.

At the Organization level, languages are managed in the Languages register. To access the Languages register, you must have access to the organization and have the Language permission assigned to your role.

• Open the Languages register

At the Portfolio and Workspace level, languages are managed using their respective Properties documents, on the Languages page. To access each of these pages, you must have access to the respective Properties documents for the Portfolio and the Workspace.

• Open the Portfolio Properties register
• Open a Workspace Properties register

To add a language to an Organization

1. In the Organization work area, click Administration > Configuration > Languages.
2. In the Languages register, click Edit.
3. In the Languages dialog, click Add Line.
4. In the Languages selection dialog, select one or more languages in the left pane and move them to the right pane using the right arrow.
5. Click OK.

 

To add a language to a Portfolio

1. In the Portfolio work area, click Administration > Portfolio Properties
2. In the Portfolio Properties register, click a Portfolio Properties document.
3. On the Portfolio Properties document, click the Languages page.
4. On the Languages page, click Edit.
5. Click Add Line.
6. In the Languages selection dialog, select one or more languages in the left pane and move them to the right pane using the right arrow.
7. Click OK.

 

To add a language to a Workspace

1. In the Portfolio work area, under Workspaces and Projects, click Workspaces.
2. In the Workspace Properties register, click a Portfolio Properties document.
3. On the Portfolio Properties document, click the Languages page.
4. On the Languages page, click Edit.
5. Click Add Line.
6. In the Languages selection dialog, select one or more languages in the left pane and move them to the right pane using the right arrow.
7. Click OK.
