Holds – Selected Documents

The Selected Documents page of a hold lists the documents that have been manually selected to be affected by this hold. Provided your security role has permission to update holds, you can add or remove documents from the list. For more information, see "About Security Roles".

ClosedTo add a document to the list

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click Add Line.
  3. A blank line is added to the list.

  4. Click the Magnifying Glass icon The magnifying glass icon. under Document Title.
  5. The Documents dialog appears.

  6. Select the document to add using the Documents dialog.
  7. Proliance updates the page.

  8. Select the document state type that will trigger the hold.
  9. Proliance will invoke the hold only when another user tries to change the document to this state type.

  10. Click Save.
  11. Proliance saves the changes. Click Exit edit mode when finished.

ClosedTo remove a document from the list

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click the check box next to the document you wish to remove.
  3. Click Remove Line(s).
  4. Proliance removes the document from the list. This document can no longer be affected by the hold.

Note:

  • Documents listed on the Selected Documents page are not actually held until a user attempts to perform an action that will change the document state to one that triggers the hold.
  • If the document you are removing from the Selected Documents page has already triggered a hold, that document will no longer be held.
  • You can use the Selected Documents page in conjunction with the Filtered Documents page. In other words, you can both manually specify documents to be held and create a filter to select documents to be held.
  • Documents that have holds applied against them will display a Hold tab.
